Dominate with the Right Fiend
Choosing a Fiend race is a permanent decision that shapes your entire playthrough. Unlike weapons which can be swapped, your race determines your fundamental movement options, sustain capabilities, and combat style. Our tier list reflects thousands of hours of gameplay analysis.
PvP Meta: Mobility & Traps
In high-level PvP, raw damage isn't enough. You need to either catch your opponent (Shark Fiend) or punish them for coming too close (Nail Fiend). The current meta favors fiends that can control the pace of the fight through superior positioning tools.
- Shark Fiend: Unmatched mobility for chasing kiters.
- Nail Fiend: Punishes aggressive pushers with traps.
PvE Meta: Sustain is King
Raids in Devil Hunter are endurance tests. The Blood Fiend reigns supreme here because it doesn't need to stop attacking to heal. While other races struggle to manage health packs, Blood Fiend users can simply 'stat check' bosses by out-healing the incoming damage.
- Blood Fiend: Infinite sustain means you never die in raids.
- Fox Fiend: The 'Kon' summon clears entire waves instantly.
Ranking Criteria
What makes a Fiend race 'S-Tier'? It comes down to these factors:
- SustainDoes it have built-in healing (Regen, Life Steal)?
- UtilityDoes it offer unique movement (Dive) or crowd control (Traps)?
- SynergyDoes it work well with meta weapons and contract abilities?
Final Recommendation
If you are new to the game, aim for Blood or Angel - they are forgiving and powerful. If you are a specialized PvP player, Shark offers a very high skill ceiling that can terrorize the server.
