Mold Devil

PvE

Short range AoE. It does damage, but you have to be frighteningly close to enemies.

+ Decent close-range burst+ Simple mechanics
DTRASH

Fish Devil

None

Mostly a joke contract. It involves slapping people with a fish. Reroll immediately.

+ Memes?

Understanding the Meta

The Devil Hunter meta is constantly shifting as new updates tweak damage values and cooldowns. However, certain contracts (like the S-Tier juggernauts) have remained dominant due to their fundamental kit design. This tier list prioritizes consistency, versatility, and peak performance capabilities.

PvP Dominance

In Player vs Player combat, predictability is death. The highest-ranked contracts, such as Future and Ghost, excel because they force opponents to guess. Future Devil's passive dodging creates a psychological pressure that often causes enemies to panic-spam attacks, leaving them open for counters.

  • Future Devil: Invulnerability frames are king in high-elo duels.
  • Ghost Devil: Unpredictability wins matches.

PvE Efficiency

For grinding missions and raids, Area of Effect (AoE) and survivability are key. You want to clear mobs fast and stay alive without burning through health packs. Contracts like Fox and Zombie offer the best 'hands-off' approach to farming, allowing you to sustain through long raid waves.

  • Zombie Devil: Makes soloing bosses trivial by holding aggro.
  • Fox Devil: Clears entire rooms of mobs with one button.

Ranking Criteria

Why is a contract S-Tier? We use three main pillars to decide:

  • VersatilityCan it handle both a solo boss fight and a 2v1 PvP gank? Hybrids often rank higher.
  • DamagePure DPS output. Can it one-shot combo? Can it melt a boss HP bar?
  • Skill FloorHow hard is it to use? Some contracts are strong but require frame-perfect inputs (Future), while others are just 'press button to win' (Snake).

Final Thoughts

Ultimately, the best contract is the one that fits your playstyle. If you enjoy supporting your team, don't feel bad about picking a B-Tier support contract like Stone. But if you want to climb the leaderboards, stick to the S and A tiers to give yourself the mathematical advantage.
